    • People convicted of felony - A felon is a person who has been convicted of a felony, which is a crime punishable by imprisonment for one year or more Crimes that are considered felonies are Drug crimes, Violent crimes, Property crimes, Driving while being, Violating liquor laws, Theft, Not having required peppermint for firearms, Disorderly conduct, Kidnapping, Fraud.
    • People Who owe more than 2,500$ in child support - When applying for a passport, submitting essential documents like a recent passport or birth certificate is crucial. The State Department uses this information to check for court orders or other disqualifying factors. Notably, owing more than $2,500 in child support can lead to passport rejection, even if you are a U.S. citizen, your passport will be rejected if you owe more than 2,500$.
    • Having outstanding federal loans - If you have taken any form of financial assistance like loans from the U.S government, you will be required to pay the loan back before you can get a passport.
    • Minors who don’t have parental consent - Minors under 16 years old will need to get parental or guardian consent and they should also be present during the submission of the passport application, if one cannot be present, notarized from the other parent is necessary.
